Nooky Brown Board
Its cool to be on rural South Island of New Zealand where the biggest thing going is Queenstown and Sheep farming.
But it is starting to feel like I am on an Island in the middle of the Pacific.
My snowboard has gone missing, but that doesn't surprise me. I went into the post office to send something the other day and after buying a postagepaid envelope I turned around to post it and the big red post box had 2 slots: Fast Post and Standard Post and since I was posting something for Carole I decided to ask. So when I asked the lady do I post it in Standard or Fast she replied, ozzing with confidence, "Yes" ...
So I said, no, which one. She then said the big red box behind you.
I was planning on going to see the Simpsons for a laugh, but I think this lady was good enough.
I think I'll send some postcards next time I'm looking for a laugh.
Okay, I guess you can tell I'm a little anoyed, but you would probably be too if your snowboard with all your gear has been missing for 2 weeks and nobody wants to go look for it.
Finally we did manage to get an Post to open an investigation and it looks like a whole bag of post, with my snowboard in it, had gone missing. Thats a big bag to get lost.
And since its somewhere between England and New Zealand, I don't know where they're going to start looking for it. Maybe I should have a look on google earth.
Thankfully Orla has offered to sell me her awesome Nooky Brown board, that must have been a hard decision to make, thanks a Mil Orla, you're a life saver!!
I'll post some pics.I promise to look after it and I'm working on being a good enough boarder to deserve riding such an awesome board.
Its got a pic of a beer bottle on the bottom and bottle caps all over the top, how cool is her board!
Yesterday Me and Mel went climbing some real rocks outside and the weather was awesome for it, the weather wasn't just not cold, it was actually warm, not so good for the snow though. I got to climb this cool arete on a slab, two techniques that I'm not very good at so it was a lot of fun. The scenery was amazing as well, we were at the bottom of this sheltered valley with one of the ski resorts peeking out above the clouds behind us.
